Movie description:

Based on the book by prize winning novelist, Cornelia Funke.
A story of two orphaned brothers who are to be separated by the authorities. The older brother, Prosper, promises that won’t happen, and then has to break his brother, Bo, out of the new home with his aunt and uncle. They run away to Venice, which the sister of their mother knew they would. There, they are discovered by the Thief Lord, and brought into the band of other orphans. This appears odd because the older brother has already demonstrated that he will not steal or let his brother steal anything, yet they still find a place in this strange collection of not-so-bad abandoned kids. Thus begins their mysterious, magical and completely enchanting adventure. Many twists and turns keep the plot exciting and unexpected. The Thief Lord will steal your heart from beginning to end.
